This article introduces Professor Ji Feng"s clinical experience in treating vulvar lichen sclerosus. Professor Ji posits that the fundamental pathogenesis of this disease involves kidney yin deficiency leading to malnourishment of the liver wood, allowing external pathogens to invade. The clinical treatment strategy centers on"nourishing water to moisten wood, and strengthening the root to eliminate turbidity,"equally emphasizing mental regulation and physical therapy. By accurately assessing the progression of pathogenesis and implementing stage-specific treatment, acupoints such as Zhongji (CV3), Sanyinjiao (SP6), Ligou (LR5), and Baihui (GV20) are selected. This approach is combined with surrounding needling and intradermal needle techniques to consolidate the root. This provides a novel and effective acupuncture treatment paradigm for this condition.
