Abstract:Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of tuina (a Chinese therapeutic massage) combined with the application of blood-activating and pain-relieving plasters on acupuncture points in the treatment of cervical spondylosis. Methods: Seventy-four patients with cervical spondylosis were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, each consisting of 39 patients. The observation group received tuina combined with the application of blood-activating and pain-relieving plasters, while the control group was treated with oral celecoxib capsules. The efficacy of the treatments was evaluated and compared between the two groups before and after the treatment, using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and the Neck Disability Index (NDI). Results: After treatment, both groups showed a decrease in VAS and NDI scores compared to before treatment (P<0.05), with the observation group showing better results than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: The use of tuina combined with the application of blood-activating and pain-relieving plasters in the treatment of cervical spondylosis showed significant efficacy and is worthy of clinical promotion.
