Abstract:objective: to evaluate the efficacy and safety of herbal fumigation combined with NB-UVB in the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris. Methods: CNKIdatabase, Cochrane library, PubMed, Embase, WanFang database, VIP and CBM were searched for randomized controlled trials involving herbal fumigation combined with NB-UVB in the treatment of psoriasis. Use RevMan5.2 software to analyze the final compliance studies. Results: a total of 1334 patients were obtained from 14 literatures that were in conformity with the standard. The results showed that the total effective rate [OR=4.17, 95%ci (3.05~5.70), P<0.00001] and the recovery rate [OR=3.26, 95%ci (2.29~4.63), P<0.00001] of the combined group were better than the control group. herbal fumigation combined group was better than control group in improving PASI score [MD=-2.25,95%CI (-3.69~-0.82), P=0.002]. In terms of safety, the combined group of herbal fumigation was better than the control group in reducing adverse reactions, with significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion: herbal fumigation assisted NB-UVB treatment has considerable curative effect and good safety. However, rigorous and high-quality literature research is still needed.
